The firm
A four-decade practice in Anaheim Hills.
Bonnie & Herrera, CPAs has served Orange County business owners and families since 1985. Three principal partners. A team of eight. The same three principles.
Our story
Who we are. Why it matters.
Founded in 1985 by Ross R. Bonnie, the firm has been an Anaheim Hills institution for forty years. It has grown from a sole practice into a partnership of three principals supported by a specialist staff — without losing the close personal attention that defined its first decade.
We are small on purpose. Every return is reviewed by a licensed CPA before it leaves the office. The same partners and senior staff who answer the phone are the people preparing the work. Clients do not get passed between juniors.
Our practice is built around closely-held businesses, high-net-worth individuals, multi-entity owners, and families with multi-generation financial situations. The advice we give accounts for both sides of the ledger — personal and business — because in our experience those sides are never really separate.
The principles
Three values. Unchanged in forty years.
- I.
Professionalism
Every client, every engagement, the same standard of attention. We treat the smallest matter with the same care as the largest.
- II.
Responsiveness
Calls and emails are returned the same business day. The goal is to anticipate needs before they become urgent — and to be present when they are.
- III.
Quality
Our reputation reflects the standards we demand of ourselves. Continuing education each year; specialist credentials maintained current.
Why the firm
What clients say keeps them with us.

For prospective clients
Frequently asked.
What kinds of clients do you work with?
Closely-held businesses across most California industries, multi-entity owners, high-net-worth individuals, and families with multi-generation financial situations. We work where personal and business finances meet.
Are you taking new clients this tax season?
Yes, with limits. We prefer to onboard new clients before tax season opens so we have time to review prior-year returns and understand your situation. Reach out by phone or the consultation form; we will tell you candidly whether we are a fit.
Do you work remotely or only in person?
Both. The office is in Anaheim Hills and clients are welcome there for any meeting. We also work entirely remotely for clients outside greater Orange County, with secure document transfer through our portal.
Are your CPAs licensed and current?
Yes. Every CPA is licensed by the California Board of Accountancy and a member in good standing of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Our specialists maintain ProAdvisor and CTEC credentials as well.
The next step
A thirty-minute call to see if we are a fit.
Bring last year's return, a few questions, and the things you wish your current accountant did differently. We will tell you, candidly, whether we are the right firm for your situation.
